——从《如焉》的讨论谈起

[内容提要]本文从胡发云小说《如焉》的讨论会引出作家的根的问题，提出作家创作的根不在外在的社会环境，而在作家个人对人类情感、首先是对自己内心情感的“敏感性精神”，即天才的创造力和对自我感觉的体验能力。因此对作品的评价最基本的标准就在于它是否感动人，引起人与人之间的共鸣和沟通。但这种普遍共鸣不仅要从空间的广度上来衡量，而且要从时间上的可能性和长久性来衡量。后者正是现代文学更为重视的尺度，然而现代文学与古典文学一样都表达了艺术传达人类情感这一本质。文章还结合《如焉》中的人物及残雪的现代文学理念论证了上述观点。

Where is writer's root？
——To speak from the discussion on the Ru Yan
[abstract]Based on the seminar on Hu Fayun's novel"Ru yan"，this article proposed a question on writers'roots, pointing out that their roots exist not in the external social environment. It lies in the emotion of the author's to human-being, mostly the sensitivity spirit（l'esprit de finesse），namely genius creativity and ability to experience feelings of oneself.As a result, the basic criteria of comments upon works lies in whether it is touching, arousing communication and sympathy among people, not only measured by means of extend of space but also duration and possibility of time, the latter of which is considered to be more important scale in contemporary literature.However, both contemporary and classic literature express the essence of transiting of human's emotion of art.Besides, this article elaborated the views above by relating them to characters in"Ru yan"and Can Xue’s idea of contemporary literature.

胡发云的长篇小说《如焉》发表于《江南》杂志2006年第1期后，引起了评论界和思想界的极大的关注，好评如潮，甚至地摊上还出现了盗印的单行本。今年4月21-22日在武汉东湖公园举办了一个作品研讨会，邀集了我们武汉和外地的一些名人或非名人，大都不是专业的文学评论家。这次讨论会后来由《南方都市报》作了专题报导，主要是在思想界引起了一些反响，特别是由于残雪的介入，而产生了某种“轰动效应”，但在文学评论界，尚未见有人上升到理论高度来对此加以评说。不过我觉得，残雪提出的问题是值得文学评论界认真思考的，这就是作家的根究竟植于何处的问题。残雪的提法有一种观念上的突破。
